INTERNATIONAL STUDENT APPLICATION  -  REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

STEP 2

Once you have decided that you wish to send a student to our school:

  • Complete the form  Application for a Place at Napier Girls' High School
  • The student must prepare a hand written letter to the Principal introducing herself and giving her reasons for wanting to attend Napier Girls' High School. This letter is to be written in English by the student, without any assistance, and sent with the Application form to the International Dean at  the address above.

 

STEP 3

If you are accepted by Napier Girls' High School you will be sent:

  • An Offer of Place with an invoice for fees.
  • An Acceptance of Place and Acceptance Agreement (two copies).
  • This document sets out the rules and regulations for fee paying international students enrolled at Napier Girls' High School.   It must be read carefully by both parents and student.   Please sign the papers stamped "copy" and return to the International Dean with your payment of fees.

 

STEP 4

Once payment is made a Letter of Acceptance from the Principal, accommodation details and a receipt will be sent to you.

  • Take these and the Offer of Place to your nearest New Zealand Embassy and apply for the student visa.

 

REFUNDS POLICY

1.  If the student changes her mind before coming to New Zealand her full fees are refunded, minus $250 administration fee.

2.  If she wishes to withdraw after arriving in New Zealand refund will only be made in the case of:

(i) return home because of the student's serious illness:

(ii)return home because of death or serious illness of a close member of the student's family.   In these cases under the New Zealand law the school must retain amounts to cover costs already incurred, including the $250 administration fee.  The balance will be returned.   Medical evidence must be provided.

3.  NO refunds will be made to students who are asked to leave the school because of misbehaviour, poor attendance or violation of the school rules or laws of New Zealand.

4.  NO refunds will be made to students who wish to transfer to another school for any reason.

5.  NO refunds will be made to students who return home for any reason other than the student's serious illness or death or serious illness of a close member of the family.

6. NO refunds will be made to students who acquire permanent residence after having enrolled here.

Settlement of fees can be completed by bank draft to the Napier Girls' High School Account:

NOTE: Full fees must be paid in advance before 1 November of the year prior to enrolment

Napier Girls' High School closes for the summer vacation mid December until early February of the following year.
