Two snowboarders, Claudia Andersen and Lucy McKenzie, joined together to represent Napier Girls’ High School and compete at the North Island Secondary Schools’ Snowboard Championships at Turoa. Both boarders had a fantastic competition and did us proud with the following results:

NGHS – 2nd girls team (all year groups)
Lucy – 1st in Boarder X (all year groups)
Claudia – 3rd in Slope Style (all year groups)
Claudia – Top overall junior (Years 9 and 10)

Claudia also went on to compete in the NZ Junior Freeski & Snowboard Nationals in Wanaka and was placed 2nd in both the Boarder X and Half Pipe for Years 9 and 10!
