The school library is committed to the principle that all learning depends on reading. Students recognize it as a welcoming place which serves many functions. It provides
- a constantly growing selection of fiction and nonfiction that female students love to read
- a comfortable environment for reading and relaxing
- a supportive staff
- a wide range of resources for research
- access to resources from other areas such as National Library
- a senior student computer pod for independent enquiry and research.
- flexible hours
- a weekly book club
- a library wiki largely run by students.
The library has a Research and Study Assistance programme in place. A staff member is available every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 12.15pm to 4.15pm for any student who would like help with:
- study skills
- finding useful information both in books and via computer.
- reading and understanding instructions
- attacking difficult homework
We encourage all students to build the library into their study routine. It is open before and after school every day and is a storehouse of all the information they could possibly need.
