Music
Mrs Suzanne Purdy is our Head of Music.

The school makes a special feature of its Music and has a fine tradition of massed singing. The orchestra numbers over 70 players, and numerous groups enter the School Chamber Music contest each year.
There are two choirs in the school, one for all comers, and a specially auditioned group of up to forty girls who enter the New Zealand Choral Federation Festival.
Music exchanges with other schools give our students the opportunity to hear varied performances; they are also encouraged to attend concerts locally in school groups.
Fees for 2010
Instrument Hire - $80 for the year
Music lesson fee - $120 for the year.

All of the above instruments are available for hire from the school except Guitars, Keyboards & Drums
