Art Deco Day.

Each year the school celebrates the Art Deco era.  The style in which the town was rebuilt after the tragic earthquake of 1931.  We remember this time as a time of sorrow and loss and remember those lost during the quake.  Rita Angus painted a mural to help those during that time, symbolising hope and the raising of the city.
