Sports Coordinator

Napier Girls’ High School is located in Ahuriri, Napier, and provides education for students in Years 9-13. The School is one of the oldest in New Zealand for girls. It celebrates its traditions, and its values of Manaakitanga (respect and caring), Kairangi Whaiaro (personal excellence) and Whanaungatanga (relationships and connections).

We are looking for a fixed term, part time Sports Coordinator to join our school Sports Department.

• 18 hours per week, term time only, days and times of the week to be arranged with the Head of Sport

• Will include some administrative work during school hours and some after school work to assist with extra-curricular activities including driving the school minivan.

• Fixed-term from 27 July until 11 December 2026

Our ideal candidate will:

• Have strong administration and time management skills

• Have excellent interpersonal skills; with the ability to relate well and respond with empathy to the needs of the students, colleagues and the wider community

• Strength and Conditioning and/or physio experience is advantageous but not a requirement

• Hold a full driver’s license

• Comply with legislative safety checks, including New Zealand Police Vetting, as a Children’s Worker in accordance with the Children’s Act 2014 and the Education and Training Act 2020.
