This role is responsible for leading boarding at Napier Girls’ High School, providing clear boundaries in a safe and nurturing environment where boarders can realise their potential in both curricular and extra-curricular activities. The Hostel Manager oversees the staffing and operations of Hewett House, reporting directly to the Principal.
The ideal candidate will:
Have excellent leadership and communication skills
Foster positive relationships with students and their whānau
Have a strong interest in the pastoral care of young people
Have strong organisational and administrative skills
Be both a leader and a mentor to the Hostel team and the students
Have the flexibility to work both weekdays and weekends when required.
