  • 26th February - School Swimming Champs 
  • 14th March - School Athletics Champs
  • 24th - 28th March - Summer Tournament
  • 22nd May - Tauranga Girls' College Exchange at Taupo
  • 25th June - Palmerston North Girls' Exchange at Palmerston North
  • 24th July - School Cross Country Champs
  • 25th - 30th August - Winter Tournament


How to sign up for sport at NGHS

  1. Fill out the Registration of Interest Form by clicking on the above blue box and tick all sports you are interested in finding out more about. (Open from 1 Jan 2025)
  2. Further information or trial sign up forms will be sent via email during the year.

At Napier Girls' High we offer the following sports... Select a code for information about dates, schedules, training and games!

At Napier Girls' High School we have a long and proud tradition of excellence in sport. 

Despite the recent challenges, in 2023 we had many Napier Girls' High School students selected to represent various regional teams, and 18 who were selected into national squads or achieved nationally.

Current NGHS Students 2025​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Lucy Kinnear was selected for the Youth Team in the Battle of the Tasman Surf Lifesaving Competition, in Australia.

Meg Ronberg was selected for the NZU18 Canoe Polo team to play in the Oceania Champs in Dec 2023.

Isabelle Dunning was selected to play for the NZ Secondary School Girls' U18 Football Team tour to Dallas, USA.
